How did your journey in China begin?
你的中國之旅是如何開始的？
It all started with a phone call where a friend told me about scholarships to China to study the language back in 2010. Without hesitation, or being very aware of what I was doing, I applied and the 1-year option as I had in mind did not exist. The options were 2 years to study language or 5 years to study a Degree. I thought about it, discussed it with my family and with their absolute support and only 19 years of age, I arrived in the capital of China in September 2010. Wudaokou, BLCU, friends and an unforgettable experience from the very beginning.
我的中國之旅始于一通電話。2010年，一位朋友告訴我可以申請去中國學(xué)習(xí)漢語的獎學(xué)金。我毫不猶豫或懵懵懂懂就申請了，我本來想在中國學(xué)習(xí)一年，但我心目中的這個選項并不存在。?想取得學(xué)位只有兩年或者五年的學(xué)制。經(jīng)過深思熟慮，并和家人討論，在他們的絕對支持下，2010 年 9 月，當(dāng)時只有 19 歲的我來到了中國的首都北京，進(jìn)入了五道口的北京語言大學(xué)。朋友以及難忘的經(jīng)歷，我故事的開始。
What do you like most about your city and China as a whole?
你居住過的城市，哪一點最吸引你？你最喜歡中國的什么？
Although the experience in Beijing was fascinating, in 2015 I returned to China, but this time further southeast, to Xiamen. There, I did my Master’s degree, and I found a wonderful city. Xiamen is a perfect balance between the madness of living in fast China, with green spaces, by the sea, with a population similar to that of my country. A beautiful university and a very friendly community. All this has made Xiamen become my little corner in China.
What fascinated you the most about living in China?
居住在中國，最吸引你的是什么？
The development of the digital world. The simplicity of having absolutely everything at your fingertips with such simple steps. Stop carrying a wallet, cash, or credit cards; rent a bike anywhere for almost free and leave it where it is most convenient for you. From buying a fast train ticket, an oven, lunch or even a piece of meat or butter arrived directly from the other side of the world.
數(shù)字世界的發(fā)展。簡單的步驟，讓一切盡在掌握。你不用帶錢包、現(xiàn)金或信用卡；在任何地方都可以免費租借一輛單車，停在你覺得最方便的地方。買動車票、烤箱，點外賣，都變得非常方便，你甚至可以買到一塊從地球另一端送來的肉或黃油。
Also, I loved being part of Xiamen International Football team. We enjoyed every match we play, and it is a space to share and learn from cultures from all over the world while enjoying our beautiful Xiamen.
我還喜歡為廈門國際足球隊效力的日子。我們很享受每場比賽，在感受廈門的美的同時，我們還會分享和了解世界各地的文化。
What is your unique China story?

I remember when I had just arrived in Beijing, 11 years ago. A few days later they celebrated the Mid-Autumn festival and together with some classmates we decided to go for a walk to Houhai, a place that we had been told was very beautiful. When we got off the subway, we found 8 exit options… Obviously we had no idea, and we chose one at random. Of course, it was not the right option to go straight to Houhai and follow the directions we had. There, with a paper map of the city of Beijing (because yes, there were no smart phones yet) and in the middle of the night we found ourselves lost and without directions. 3 minutes passed and a friendly passerby approached us to offer help. Not only did he show us the way, but he also accompanied us and made sure we reached our destination. That feeling of security in the middle of the night (even being lost), the kindness of that person, and finding hidden and wonderful little places in every adventure that involves a walk is something that make me, 11 years later, to still choose China.
我記得 11 年前剛到北京的時候，我和同學(xué)們一起過中秋節(jié)，之后我們決定到后海走走，據(jù)說那里風(fēng)景非常優(yōu)美。下地鐵后，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)有 8 個出口……我們不知道要走哪個，就隨便選了一個。但是，這個出口并不能直接到達(dá)后海，所以我們只能跟著路標(biāo)走。我們拿著一張北京城的紙質(zhì)地圖（是的，當(dāng)時還沒有智能手機(jī)），大半夜發(fā)現(xiàn)自己迷路了，失去了方向。3分鐘后，一位好心的路人過來幫助我們。他不僅給我們指了路，而且還陪著我們到達(dá)目的地。雖然我們在半夜迷路了，但是我們感受到了滿滿的安全感，也感受到了路人的善意，我們不斷冒險、甚至是隨便走走就能發(fā)現(xiàn)中國的許多“秘境”。所以，11 年后我仍然選擇留在中國。
Some facts about Uruguay
介紹一下烏拉圭
The distance between China and Uruguay is 18252 kilometers. In addition, there are two variables that seem very interesting to me. In terms of population, in China there is room for about more than 466 Uruguays (3 million vs 1.4 billion). But also, in Uruguay, not only is the population small, but for every Uruguayan person, there are 4 cows! A fact that explains the export profile of Uruguayan beef, of outstanding quality in the world.
中國和烏拉圭相距 18252 公里。提到兩國，我認(rèn)為有兩個數(shù)字非常有趣。中國的人口相當(dāng)于 466 個烏拉圭的人口（烏拉圭只有 300 萬人口，而中國有 14 億人口）。烏拉圭雖然人口少，但每個烏拉圭人平均擁有4頭牛！這說明烏拉圭出口的是世界優(yōu)質(zhì)牛肉。
Another aspect is football. Uruguay, with its small population, is one of the most successful countries in the world, football-wise, while China still has space to grow in this regard. There’s plenty of room for cooperation between Uruguay and China!
再來說說足球。烏拉圭人口不多，但卻是足球強(qiáng)國之一，而中國在這方面仍有發(fā)展空間。烏拉圭和中國仍然有很大的合作空間！
